Volleyball at Oxford is inclusive to all genders and levels of experience, with options ranging from representing the University at the national level to intramural college matches and development sessions. OUVC predominantly competes in traditional, 6-a-side indoor volleyball, but there are chances to get involved in the beach volleyball scene as well.
The club brings together about 100 members who play at both competitive and recreational levels. The competitive side of OUVC is structured around two men's and two women's teams, with the Blues teams competing against other universities in the Western Conference of the BUCS League and the second teams in the Berkshire Volleyball Association (BVA). All four competitive teams play a Varsity Match against Cambridge every year.
OUVC is always looking for new members; we welcome everyone interested in playing at a competitive level or learning more about volleyball. In addition to training and matches, the club offers plenty of social opportunities to maintain club spirit by organising social events, formal dinners, volleyball tournaments and alumni matches.
