ABOUT US

Oxford University Volleyball Club is the home of volleyball at Oxford. We are a vibrant, friendly, international community with multiple competitive teams and beginner-friendly options. Join us to learn, play, and compete in the exciting sport of volleyball.

With four teams competing at the national and county levels, and plenty of opportunities to get involved, OUVC is keen to welcome new members to its community.

Meet Our Teams

Blues women

Blues Women (W1) is our women's first team. W1 competes in BUCS Tier 1, playing league and cup matches as well as tournaments like Student Cup. 

​

Recently ranking fourth in the UK, the team trains three times a week and typically plays weekly matches. 

Blues Men

Blues Men (M1) is our men’s first team which competes in BUCS Tier 1 alongside other tournaments throughout the year.

 

As recent BUCS national champions, the M1 team trains three times a week at a high level for weekly matches against strong opponents

Women's Seconds

Women's 2s (W2) is our women’s second team. W2 welcomes both students and community members and competes in the Berkshire Volleyball Association (BVA) local league as well as Student Cup.

 

Recently advancing  to BVA Division 1, W2 trains twice a week and typically plays weekly matches on Sundays.

Men's Seconds

Men's 2s (M2) is our men's second team. M2 competes in the Berkshire Volleyball Association (BVA) league, Student Cup, and other tournaments throughout the year.

 

Achieving second in BVA Division 2 in recent years, and having a 3-year Varsity win streak against Cambridge, M2 trains twice a week and typically plays weekly matches on Sundays
